The Reverend Dr. Janice Brown-Stephens, 80, of Greenback, Tennessee, and formerly of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, transitioned to eternal rest on August 30, 2024.
Dr. Brown-Stephens was born September 13, in Rocky Mount, NC, the singer, preacher, and pastor became most widely recognized for the massive traditional gospel hit, "Rough Side of the Mountain," along with Bishop F.C. Barnes.
A Pre-Celebration and Reflection Musical will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024 beginning at 9:00 am, and the Official Celebration of Her Life and Ministry will immediately follow at 10:00 am at the Deeper Life Church Ministries located at 900 Eleventh Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina.
