Elizabeth C. "Libby" Solis, age 83, of Brady, Texas passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, in Brownwood, Texas. Elizabeth was born June 3, 1942, in Unionville, Michigan to Jose Torrez and Maria (Criado) Torrez. She married Marcos Solis March 27, 1965, in Brady, Texas. Elizabeth, also known as Libby, worked as an LVN for over fifty-five years, retiring in 2018. She was a member of numerous organizations: the League of Vocational Nurses in which she held many offices, and was selected Texas State Nurse of the year (1976); Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she was honored as Girl of the Year, twice served as pageant chairman of the Miss Heart of Texas Pageant; American Heart Association officer, Ladies Golf Association member, Girl Scout Leader, Catholic Ladies Club member, March of Dimes member; Co-President of FBBB Booster; Bible study teacher; and Saint Patrick's Altar Society president. Libby loved the Dallas Cowboys, golf, and baking.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth "Libby" Solis will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rest Heaven Cemetery in Brady. The family will receive friends Monday, October 6, 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the |Holy Rosary being recited at 6:00PM at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Pallbearers will be Joe Torrez, Obed Torrez Jr., Eric Torrez, Gabriel Moreno, Manuel Flores Jr., and Greg Flores. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Brady High School Class of 1960. Friends may view Elizabeth's Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign her online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.

She is survived by her husband Marcos Solis of Brady, son Michael Solis of Kingsland, TX, daughter Melissa Solis-Robles and husband Adrian Robles of Abilene, TX, sisters-in-law Fidelia and Charlie Olivarez of Brady, Mary Torrez of Brady, Toni and Manuel Flores of Bangs, TX, Liz Miranda of Abilene; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She is also survived by special family friends: Eddie and Melissa Sayles, Curtis and Robin Owens, David and Tara Drake, and honorary grandson Jackson Drake. She was preceded in death by her father Jose S. Torrez, mother Maria C. Torrez, infant son Jeffery Daniel Solis, brother Obed Torrez Sr., daughter-in-law Dennie Solis, father- and mother-in-law, Nieves and Angelina Solis.

We are so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful lady both inside and out.
