Billy Wayne Neal

Billy Wayne Neal, age 80, of Brady, Texas, passed from this life into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas. Billy was born on February 19, 1945, in Roscoe, Texas, to Lynn Neal and Cora LaRue (Hodges) Neal. His family moved to Brady when he was a child, and he grew up in Brady. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He worked as a welder at Loadcraft for ten years before joining Vulcan Sand Plant in Brady. He drove a truck there for several years until a major wreck left him disabled.

Billy was a wonderful daddy. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandbabies, and fishing. He was a very talented musician, having the ability to play several instruments by ear, as he could not read music. He loved making beautiful country and Christian music. He attended the Vision Heights Church.

Funeral services for Billy Neal will be held Monday, November 3, 2025, at 10:00am at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Bobby Covey officiating. Interment will follow at Marion Cemetery near Lohn. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Billy Wayne Neal is survived by his sons Eddie Neal and wife Alice of College Station, Texas and Donny Neal and wife Tonya of Lubbock, Texas; daughter Teresa Boggs and partner Eric Beam of Brady, Texas; special nephew Carl Neal of Walters, Oklahoma; grandchildren Kody McMullin, Brandie Dimitri, Desiree Dotson, Christopher Neal, Luke Neal and Faith Haun; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth Neal.
