Janice Bentley Clay

CLAY – Janice Bentley (Cole) Clay, age 75 of Auburn, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025. A Visitation will be held on Thursday July 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Lawrenceville Tim Stewart Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday July 24, 2025, in the Lawrenceville Chapel Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Sims officiating. An interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Janice retired from Gwinnett County Government in 2018 after 42 years of being a Judicial Assistant. She was a member of Hebron Church in Dacula. Janice enjoyed volunteering at Streetwise Georgia and various Hebron Ministries throughout the years. She is preceded in death by her parents Willie Bea (Jones) & Charles Cole and her brother Roy Cole. Janice is survived by her husband Emmett Clay, son and partner Daniel Bentley & David Lance, son Stephen Bentley, stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Jessica & Danny Smith, stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Jennifer & Justin Jankaus, grandchildren Sadie, Mazie, Easton, sister Beatrice & Charles Whitehead and sister-in-law Bobbie & Kevin Pratt and many nieces and nephews.
