Wilson's Chapel of the Roses - RoseburgJanice Marrie Duncan, 73, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. She was born on April 19, 1952, in Aberdeen, Maryland, to Lloyd and Janet Freaman.
Janice dedicated her life to her family and loved ones. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her granddaughters and being surrounded by family. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, music, and dance. In her younger years, she worked at a dance studio and, alongside her husband Bill, owned and operated the Super Y Market until they sold the store in 1996.
Janice also had a passion for cooking and loved teaching her granddaughters how to make the delicious family meals she was known for. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her love of beauty- always keeping her hair and nails done-and her devotion to her beloved Maltese dogs.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Duncan; her mother, Janet Freamon; her sons, Ryan Duncan (and partner Jonathan Williams) and Tyson Duncan; her cherished granddaughters, Zakiya and Zaviena Duncan; her brothers, Randy Freamon and Steve Freamon; her sister, Brenda Meisner; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Freamon, and her brother, Robin Freamon.
Janice will forever be remembered for her deep love of family, her joyful spirit, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
