Publish in a newspaper

Janice "Jan" Fielding (Williams) age 71, transitioned peacefully home to Heaven to be with our Lord on Friday, August 1st after battling cancer for 2 years. Janice was the epitome of a superhero wife, mom, sister and friend. She spent her life serving everyone around her, giving unconditionally, living life with determination and joy and always making others laugh! When she wasn't speeding around town in her red Dodge Charger with Anna Mae, Joyce, Adam & Amanda taking Casey places, she worked as a paraprofessional for 23 years at Bowerman Elementary. Janice kept the building rolling with fun while she worked hard meeting the needs of special needs students. As a side gig, she loved playing practical jokes on her coworkers and she was very good at it!

Janice was born on April 8, 1954 and grew up in Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Anna Mae Williams, sister Judy Jefferson, brother Jimmy Williams, and nephew Adam Tilton who all welcomed her into Glory. She is survived by her husband Charlie, son Casey, sister Joyce and brother-in-law Andy, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Janice has been a member of Berean Baptist Church for 56 years.

She had a strong faith and relationship with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ and lived her life leaning on God and planting seeds of faith with those around her.

Services will be at Greenlawn Funeral home with visitation on Friday, August 8th from 5:00pm-7:00pm and funeral service on Saturday, August 9th at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Jeff Ables & Fred Reamsnider with burial immediately following the service.

Janice is the mother of her most prized possession, her son Casey, and was determined to give him every opportunity possible as a child and young man. If you feel led to give a donation, the family asks that you donate to The Special Olympics Missouri, somo.org, in memory of Janice and in honor of her son Casey who loved Jan with his whole heart and always called her "Jan".

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those family and friends who took Janice to her appointments for the last 2 years. She was so appreciative of your kindness and time to take care of her.
