Janice C. Hofmann, 77, of Slatington, passed away Sunday October 19, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Richard B. Hofmann, who passed away in 2006. Born in Allentown on June 19, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. Sr. and Martha J. (Riley) Papay. Janice worked for 20 years as a customer service representative for the former Harleysville National Bank, Slatington. She was a faithful parishioner of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington, and served as past president of their Altar & Rosary Society. Janice also served as past vice president of the Jr. Women’s Club, past vice president of the Slatington Booster Club & Chairperson of Cub Pack #66.
She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Vicki and husband Robert Edwards, II of Schnecksville; grandchildren: Dylan Hofmann, Cecelia & Jakob Edwards; sisters: Patricia and husband Raymond Swavely, JoAnne and husband Frederick Kochmaruk. She was preceded in death by a son, Erik M. Hofmann, brother, Thomas P. Papay, Jr., and sister, Mary Ellen Meixell.
Private family services will be held. No calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either Assumption BVM Memorial Fund, 633 W. Washington Slatington PA 18080 or Northern Lehigh Football, 1201 Shadow Oaks Ln, Slatington PA 18080.
