Johnson, Janice L., joined her parents, Harry and Eleanor Sliwinski, when she entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Norman L. Johnson; loving mother of Dawn Pistiner (Larry), the late Richard Tarantino (Kristi), Gloria Kurczewski (Robert), Michael Johnson (Lisa), and adopted mother of Denise Besting (Mark); proud grandma of 9 grandchildren: Scott Wendlandt (Jill), Nicholas Tarantino, Justin Tarantino, Lindsey Tarantino, Brandon Kurczewski (Ashley), Jake Kurczewski (Jamie Fujinaka), Austin Riche, Nolan Johnson, Carlie Johnson and 7 great-grandchildren; and further survived by her sister, Gloria Gardner (Jim); along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was proceeded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Janice was the Matriarch of her family and nothing was more important to her. She lived in Cudahy for over 45 years and met many amazing friends along the way. Many of the friends she met at Andrea's Restaurant she considered family.
The family will hold a private graveside service.

A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date.

The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
