Janice (Surovick) Lundell, of Summit Township, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025. She was born January 18, 1953, in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was a 1970 graduate of Rice Avenue Union High School in Girard.
Janice leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Neil Lundell, her cherished son, Jason Lundell, her treasured granddaughters Destiny and Charlyt, and her adored great granddaughter Delaynee. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce (Ray) Dinello and Jean (Thomas) Gorndt, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and her best friend, Mary Chris (Smith) Holowienko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F. and Carol M. Surovick, and her sisters, Carol Ann and Mary Jo Surovick.
Janice was an avid gardener, an accomplished seamstress, a talented embroidery artist, and a designer of beautiful jewelry creations. She enjoyed many happy hours in antique shops searching out the perfect piece of carnival glass or Roseville pottery. Her happy place was in her flower garden.
Jan will be remembered for her endless kindness, creativity, and generosity. Her family will cherish her memory always.
A private graveside memorial will be held on May 23rd. 2026, on her 54th. wedding anniversary with Neil, when the flowers will begin to bloom at Erie County Memorial Gardens. She will be buried in front of the starboard wing of the jet. Say "Hi" when you go by.
Memorials may be made to the UPMC Kidney Transplant Foundation.
