Peter P. Repoff, age 89, of Erie passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born in Erie on August 7, 1936 a son of the late Peter and Tillie (Pamula) Repoff.
He was a graduate of St. Ann Grade School and Erie Technical High Class of 1955, where he served on the Class Reunion Committee. Peter served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1956 -1960. He graduated in 1956 from Damage Control Man School, in Groton, CT. Later, he was assigned duty aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw in Cheboygan, MI. and U. S. Cost Guard Cutter Kukui in Sand Island, Honolulu, HI.
Pete retired from Laborer's local # 603 after 30 years of service. He was an officer of Local #603, a delegate of the AFLCIO where he was also a community service member, and a graduate and member of the Union Leadership Academy for Life. Pete worked at GE for 5 years (first class welder, platform locomotive) and worked as a car salesman for Dailey Chevrolet.
Peter was an officer of the Russian American Club and a life member of the Huzar Club, the East Erie Turners where he bowled for many years and the Times Old Newsies. He was also a member of the Siebenbuerger Club where he was also a member of the Senior Bowling League, the Zukor Club, American Legion 771 and the polish Falcons Nest 610. Pete was a delegate of Federation of Clubs, was a member of the Erie Zoo Membership Drive (Zooloo) and very much enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling, biking and traveling.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Scott Repoff and his sister Barbara Repoff Russell.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Carol Ann (Traut) Repoff, one son, Brian Repoff of Vero Beach, FL., one daughter, Meghan Repoff of Jacksonville, FL. Daughter in-law, Wendy Repoff of St. Joe, AR, and grandchildren, Richard, Keegan and Abagail Repoff of Jacksonville and Samantha Repoff of St. Joe, AR. One brother Jack Repoff (Donna) of McDonough, GA., two sisters; Rose Marie Majczyk of Erie and Carol M. Rasavage of Cambridge Springs. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. Monday from 2 until 5 p.m. and to attend services there Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with full military Honors. Memorials may be made to the Barber National Institute, 136 East Ave. Erie, PA. 16507 or the Neighborhood Art House, 210 East 10th St. Erie, PA. 16503.
