Andrew Joseph Miller

Andrew Joseph Miller, age 94, of Erie, passed away at UPMC Hamot on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Md., on March 4, 1931, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Kelly) Miller.
Andrew was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as a gunner's mate during the Korean War. He worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years. Andrew was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing and was a fan of Notre Dame football. He enjoyed woodworking, and word puzzles, especially Wonder Word. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his family, who were everything to him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and George Miller.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jean M. (Strohmeyer) Miller, of Erie; five children, Andy Miller (Ali), Darlene Hess (Robert), John Miller (Melinda), Jim Miller (Suzie), and Joe Miller (Jeannie); 11 grandchildren, Johnny (Catie), David (Emily), Bethany (Sean), Dawn (Nick), Nicole (Jonathan), Andrew (Gina), Holly (Justin), Bobby (Lori), Shannon, Amanda (Barry), and Kyle; 23 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit at Holy Rosary Church, 2701 E. Avenue, on Tuesday, November 25th from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery.
