Mrs. Janice Eady Marlow, age 84, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Mrs. Marlow was born on May 1, 1940, in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Virgil Eady and Estelle Traylor Eady. She dedicated her life to education, spending many years as a beloved teacher at Central Middle School. Her commitment to the community extended beyond the classroom; after retiring, she volunteered as a Pink Lady with Tanner Auxiliary and was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Paulk; her grandchildren, Lindy (Judson) Upton, Robin (Jeff) Smyth, Robert Kent Lovvorn, Julia (Matthew) Curran, John (Susan) Paulk III, David (Ashleigh) Paulk, Gerard (Brigid) Paulk; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor Edwards, and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike (SueAnn) Eady and Johnny (Jane) Eady; nieces and nephews, Betsy Grisham, John Barnes, Mary Jane Goodson, Lynn Denney, April O'Toole,Scott Young and Erin Kenner. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert "Bobby" Wayne Marlow.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4 PM to 5:30 PM at Almon Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will follow at 6 PM at Carroll Memory Gardens with Rev. Mary Lou Grimmett officiating. Eulogies will be given by Tammy Paulk and Julia Curran.
Pallbearers will be Bo Lovvorn, Judson Upton, Matthew Curran, Jeff Smyth, Julia Curran, Lindy Upton, Robin Smyth, and Tammy Paulk.
