Janice Kay McGee, the daughter of Ivan and Jeanette Wilson Sanders, was born December 18, 1947 in Sibley, Iowa. Janice received her early education and graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1966.
On November 6, 1966, Janice married Vince McGee. Following their marriage, they farmed and raised their family near Peterson, IA. Later, they opened McGee Repair and ran that business until the current date.
Janice enjoyed raising and spending time with family. She enjoyed homemaking, camping, collecting bride dolls, “Gone With The Wind” memorabilia, reading and watching murder mysteries and most of all, she loved visits from her children and grandchildren.
Janice passed away on August 30, 2023 at the Careage Hills in Cherokee, Iowa at the age of 75. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Sanders; father, Ivan Sanders; mother and father-in-law, Christine and Keith McGee; brother-in-law, Boyd McGee; grandparents, Actor and Gunhilde Wilson. Many family pets loved and adored through the years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Vince McGee; her children: Pam (McGee) Bassett and husband, Greg; son Michael McGee and wife, Stacy; son Kevin McGee and Susan Reeves; son, Kylon McGee and wife, Sandy; grandchildren: Logan and Gage Bassett, Breanna, Emilee and Kaleb McGee, Shawn and Savannah McGee and Sora Reeves; two great grandchildren: Elias and Emelia; brothers-in-law, Donald (Barb) McGee and Ronald (Janice) McGee; sister-in-law, Janice (Brent) Pingel; nieces and nephews: Clayton and Josie, Alyssa, Isaac and Micah and Bodi, Vernice and Christine; other relatives and friends.
