Janice Ruth Turner Mullannix, 81, died peacefully at home in Georgetown, Kentucky, surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on May 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Rose Hampton Turner and Hubert Turner. Janice worked in Security at Toyota in Georgetown, but her family and her church were her greatest passions. She loved her church, where she was a regular greeter, prepared meals, and remained active for nearly 25 years. She also was a volunteer for many years at the Georgetown Community Hospital.
Janice is survived by her husband of 26 years, Wayne Mullannix; her sons, Dwayne (Shirley) Mattox of Memphis, Tennessee, and Mark Allen (Melissa) Mattox of Georgetown; her daughter, Angela Rose (Ricky) Wright of Cynthiana; her grandchildren, Anthony (Sarah) Mattox, Jon (Kara) Mattox, Rachel (Jake) Carr, Amber (Timothy) Burgess, Tyler (Kacia) Wright, Sarah Wright; her 12 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Harold (Raye) Turner, and Ricky Lee (Sigrid) Turner; and her sister, Virginia Ann Turner. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, James Turner.
Funeral Services for Janice will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Central Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am until Service time. The Funeral will be at 11:00 am with Rev. Sam Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgetown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jon Mattox, Tyler Wright, Timothy Burgess, Jake Carr, Anthony Mattox, and Carson Price. Honorary Pallbearers are the Central Church Wednesday Morning Small Group.
