Janice Louise Roberts was born on January 3, 1965, to the late Leo and Iris Houston in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Janice was
baptized at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist church in Kings Ferry Fl. and she received her formal education at Hilliard High School. Janice formerly worked in positions as a housekeeper, a kitchen aide and had a strong passion for playing cards. Ms. Roberts answered the "call" of Jesus on Monday, August 26, 2024.
Janice was preceded in death by both parents; Sister, Patricia Alderman, Brothers Jonathan Sr., and Kelly Scipio; Aunts Camilla Scipio, Alberta (Vincent) Pearson, Juanita (Moses) Taylor, and Virginia Harper; and Uncles Harold and Jessie Scipio.
Janice was affectionately known by her family as "Binky" and to the community as "Auntie". Janice leaves to cherish her
the community as "Auntie". Janice leaves to cherish her memories, three children: Ericka Green of Waycross, Ga., Destiny
Scipio & Jimisha Roberts of Jacksonville, FL. Grandsons Xavier James & Zion King of Waycross, Ga. and Chosen Milton of
Folkston, Ga. "Son" Tydrick Bessent and Godsons Dwight Dasher & Bryan Everett. One incredibly special Aunt Agnes Scipio of Kings Ferry, Fl. Sisters Joann Pearson, Linda Thomas & Marilyn (Sidney) Jones of Jacksonville, Fl. and Sheila Scipio of Hilliard, Fl. Brothers Gary Scipio of Yulee Fl., and Leo (Shaun) Scipio Jr. of Folkston, Ga. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and many friends. Special friends include Jimmy Roberts, Veronica Dasher, William Brown, Lola Ingram, Charlie Brown, Michael Houston, Marie Kelly, Timothy Stafford, Tangee Walker- Melton, Portrait Maxwell and many more.
