Janice Warner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Benson & Langehough Funeral Home & Cremation on Dec. 17, 2025.
Janice D. Warner, 77, of Northfield and formerly of Prior Lake, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Janice Diane Madson was born on February 22, 1948, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Leslie and Hazel Rakkan Madson. She grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota, and graduated from Moorhead High School. As a child, Jan cherished spending time at her parents' lake cabin and continued enjoying time at the lake thorughout her life.
She pursued a career in nursing, attending school and working in the field for many years. In 1991, she met Bill Warner at a church gathering when he offered her his last cookie; they were married on May 7, 1993. Jan retired from nursing in 2003 following the adoption of their two children, Evan and Ahna.
Jan loved being a mother above all else. She was a deeply supportive and joyful person with an infectious, loud laugh. A diligent reader of her Bible, she was a constant encourager who always saw the best in people. In her free time, she enjoyed caring for her flowers and garden and going to the lake.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Warner; her children, Evan Warner of Northfield and Ahna Warner of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; a niece, Lisa Lee; and a nephew, Kevin McLean. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Hazel, and her siblings, Sharon and Larry.
In accordance with her wishes, Janice has been cremated, and her remains will be scattered on Rose Lake. A private celebration of life will be held with her family.
Arrangements are with the Bierman, Benson & Langehough Funeral Home & Crematory in Northfield, Minnesota.
