DOVER, PA - Janis 'Jan' E. Bartlett (Blucher), beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to the Lord on November 29, 2025, at the age of 89, in Pennsylvania where she resided in recent years.
Jan was born on October 12, 1936, in
Baltimore, Maryland. She grew up in Nebraska and in Maryland where she attended Franklin High School. Her childhood was filled with her farm life, taking care of animals including a cow named Bessy.
She is survived by her five children: Kirby Storms, whose children are Kyle Storms (Jess) and Kelly Storms; Terri Bennett (Bill), whose children are Parker Moore and Luke Moore (Jessika); Jo Ann Wilt (Kevin), whose children are Rebekah Texer (Ryan), Christine Duca (Nic), Nathan Danielson (Ari), Heather Villaman (Tony), and Caleb Danielson with fiancée Bella; Laura Link (Tim), whose children are Cherise Hare, David Link (Shelbi), and Levi Link (Kelly); and Kathy Body, whose children are Wes Body (Nicole) and Max Body (Courtney). She is also survived by her sister, Carol Smith (Eddie), and by 23 great grandchildren who she cherished and remembered every birthday.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard 'Dick' Bartlett, as well as her son, Michael Storms. Also preceding her in death were her parents Flora and John Blucher, and the Blucher brothers Jack, Dave, Harry, and Don.
Jan was a single mother and at times worked multiple jobs to support her family. Of those, she worked as an underwriter at Guaranty National Insurance, and as a cashier at Walgreens. She served as a secretary for the Elks alongside Dick. She was on television as an award-winning duckpin bowler and was an expert in billiards. She was an accomplished artist & poet, and she deeply loved fishing and camping. Jan moved to Colorado when she was around 30 years old and she spent most of her life there becoming a keen fan of the Denver Broncos. She found time to enjoy red cardinals and loved yellow roses. She loved her family with her whole heart. She was a mentor, hero, & friend. Through her faith in Jesus, she persevered and overcame much. She was a small but mighty warrior, truly one-of-a-kind, a bright and brilliant diamond, and gem of a woman. Grandma Nooga will be dearly missed. Jan's final resting place will be to have her ashes released alongside with Dick's in the mountains of Colorado that she loved so much.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. David's E.C. Church, 2411 Oakland Rd.,
