Jann Devine of Cozad passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Emerald Care and Nursing at the age of 78.
Jann was born on June 19, 1946 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Wilbur and Doris (Schroeder) Kloepping. Jann attended rural country school at Willow Island and graduated from Cozad High School. She married Dwight Devine on June 22, 1963. Their union was blessed with son, Robert and twin daughters, Janna and Lanna. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to Homestead Bank, where she left a lasting impact. Jann was a great cook- her popcorn and tacos were adored by all, with many fond memories made at "Taco Jann's."
Jann was a caregiver to many and her home was a sanctuary for family and friends. Her love for family and friends knew no bounds, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was kind, selfless and had a heart full of compassion.
We will forever cherish the memories created with such a remarkable woman and remember the warmth and generosity that Jann brought into the lives of those around her.
A special thank you to Kiley Goff and the staff at Emerald Care for taking such good care of Jann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Lloyd and Marie Devine; daughter, Lanna Devine Urban; siblings, Burrell Kloepping and his wife Maxine, Linda Beyersdorf and her husband Larry, Gwenn Kloepping, Bob Kloepping and Fred Kloepping; brother-in-laws, Rodney Devine and Keith Devine; and nephews, Boogie and Scott Kloepping.
