Jaqueline L. "Jackie" Symonds, 86, of Hutchinson, died March 29, 2025, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born on September 28, 1938, in Hutchinson, to Harold and Eva (Baldauf) Swanson.
On August 16, 1958, she married Jimmie D. Symonds in Enid, OK. They shared nearly 63 beautiful years together before his death on May 14, 2021. Jimmie and Jackie loved dancing with each other and are dancing together once again.
Jackie was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #982 and was an avid Bingo player with them for 25 years. She enjoyed going to casinos and playing slots. Jackie was onery and loved to make people smile. She adored her family and friends and relished spending time with them.
Jackie is survived by: daughter, Dorthea (Eddie) Wooten; grandchildren; Kyleigh Wedel, Sean (Ashley) Wedel, Jordan (Ashley) Wedel, Shannon Symonds, Jimmie Symonds, Tyler Symonds, Steve (Jenny) Stock, Nathan (Melody); 19 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gerald Swanson.
She was preceded in death by: parents; sons, Doyle and Dale Symonds; sisters, Ruth Ann Swanson and Virginia Stubby.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave, Hutchinson, with Pastor Larry Wedel officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
