Jared Lynn Vowell, age 40, passed away on September 2, 2025, surrounded by family and held in the loving arms of Christ. Born on March 25, 1985, to David and Theresa Vowell, Jared was a courageous soul whose presence brought peace and warmth to everyone he met. His calming voice, steady nature, and genuine heart made people feel seen, heard, and deeply valued. A man of unwavering faith, Jared carried himself with humility and grace, never asking for anything in return for the love and kindness he so freely gave. He was steady like an old tree and strong like a river, moving through life with a rare gift. A quiet magic that left a lasting impression on every life he touched. Jared was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. The love poured into him by his parents was reflected in the love he shared with his two brothers, embracing his role as the middle child with pride. He adored his nephews and cherished every moment spent with them. To friends and strangers alike, Jared was an instant best friend, the type of person you felt you had always known. A lifelong sports enthusiast and devoted Cubs fan, Jared graduated from UT Martin with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine and became a certified athletic trainer. He worked for many years at Ortho One and served as the head trainer for Collierville High School before becoming the Site Workplace Health and Safety Manager for Amazon. Intelligent and fiercely determined, Jared approached every challenge head-on, always leaning on his faith for strength. With a sharp sense of humor and an ability to make anyone smile, Jared lived life fully and intentionally, taking in every moment as a blessing. He was relentless, fearless, and deeply loyal. He was a rare soul who brought light wherever he went. His spirit will continue to guide those he loved long after the dust has settled, for he was one of the good ones, a man whose presence will be held in the hearts of all who knew him, now and always.
Jared is preceded in death by his Great-Grandparents, Austin Eugene & Beulah Mae Hester of Jackson, Tn. and Jennings & Goldie Savely of Ripley, Tn.; Grandparents, Billy & Betty Vowell of Henning, Tn.; his great aunt, Norma Hester of Henning, Tn., and one cousin, Nathan Hutchins. Jared is survived by his loving and devoted parents, David & Theresa Vowell, two brothers, Jon (Charity) Vowell and Austin Vowell, two nephews, Connor and Parker Vowell, his Great Uncle Billy Hester, and many cherished family and friends.
