He was born December 11, 1999 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was a 2018 graduate of Montgomery County High School in Mt. Sterling. Jarrod was a devoted fan of the Lexington Legands and was recently baptized at Broadway Christian Church on June 22, 2025.
Surviving are his father, Stuart (Darlene) Hoag; his mother, Jennifer (Nathan) Trotter; a sister, Abagail (Cory) Lewis; a brother, Daniel; his maternal grandmother, Mary Belson; 2 aunts, Mindy (Don) Spence & Terri Hoag; an uncle Kevin Hoag; and a special cousin, Kristen (Kevin) Miller, along with a large extended family.
Following cremation the family is planning on honoring Jarrod's life with a memorial service next summer.

I met Jarrod at Broadway Christian Church. We did a service project together. He was authentic with his story. I was at church the day he was baptized. Now he is at peace.

Richard Rose -I met Jarrod this summer he had the greatest heart of anyone that I have never met. He will be greatly missed. Till we meet again, brother.
