Jarvis Jerrel Carter was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Barbara Carter and Fred Atcheson, on Monday, March 6, 1972. He transitioned on Monday, September 18, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. He was fifty-one years of age.
Jarvis attended South High School and was a graduate of East High School - (if you knew him, you knew why). He furthered his education at Urbana University, where he played football. After completing various programs, Jarvis earned a position with the City of Columbus. During his tenure with the city, he became an excavator. Jarvis took great pride in the man he became, his work, and life's accomplishments.
Jarvis had many, many joys throughout his adventurous life, including but not limited to getting people riled up. He was very good at pushing every button he could before embracing you with his hysterical laughter. Jarvis enjoyed fishing, football (The Bears), and listening to music (especially the S.O.S Band). His motorcycles and the Trojans Motorcycle Club community were a major part of his life and meant a lot to him.
Known as "Mr. Fix It," Jarvis always had his toolbox in hand. He was very helpful. Jarvis often assisted the neighbors with their trash as well as changed the oil for his kids. He was most appreciative when they purchased him a box of Corona Premier.
Jarvis was preceded in death by his grandmother, Estella Delmore and father, Fred "Butch" Atcheson. He leaves to forever cherish his memories and to carry on his legacy his mother, Barbara Carter; sister, Janice; brothers, Jerome and Corey; his children and bonus children, Kyerra, Destiny, Ste'vphon "Dino," Jarvis, Jarmesha, Kashell, Kamar, Jarmani, DeShae, KaSean, Kashea, Jasmine, Kennedy, Drew, and Jarvino; grandchildren, King, Tyreck, Tiraye, Tamilah, and Tyson; special cousins, Anthony "Tony" Clemons, Nick Holloway, and Dominique Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.
