Jason Carroll Obituary

Jason Thomas Carroll, 43, of Virginia Beach, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2025. Born to Ricky and Teresa Carroll on September 7, 1981, in Virginia Beach, Jason was a lifelong local who found all of his joy in the simple, meaningful things-family, fishing, and fatherhood.
He married the love of his life, Maggie Carroll, and together they built a beautiful life with their six-year-old son, Finn, who was never far from his father's side. Finn looked up to Jason in every way. If you saw Jason, Finn was usually holding his hand or (at the most) two steps behind. Jason was a devoted, present, hands-on dad-known for his warm smile, big heart, and endless patience. Fishing wasn't just a hobby for him-it was a way of life.
Jason is survived by his parents, Ricky (who was also his best friend) and Teresa Carroll; his beloved wife, Maggie; their son, Finn; and a host of extended family and close friends who will miss him deeply. (Oh, and his dog Minnow who he spooned, cuddled, and let on the bed but "didn't want.")
A Celebration of Jason's Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, 11:00am, Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church, 136 S. Lynnhaven Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Finn's Memorial Fund to support his future in honor of his dad's legacy by clicking HERE.
