Jason Vincent Edwards, 57, of Bridgman passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 after a valiant battle with ALS -- Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
A funeral service will be held 1 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106 with Rev. Brandon Wittig officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to Michiana Humane Society, 722 Indiana Hwy 212, Michigan City, IN 46360. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Jason was born on December 22, 1967 in St. Joseph the son of Thomas and Deborah (Yerke) Edwards. On July 1, 2005 he married Michelle Hartstein. He was a licensed plumber/pipefitter and a member of Local 357 Plumbers/Pipefitters Union in Kalamazoo. Jason enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his animals, watching sunsets every night, going to the cabin up north, and spending time with family and his good friend, Keith Carlson.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Michelle; son, Chance Edwards; a daughter; Taylor Edwards; mother, Deborah (Robert) Gitersonke; father, Thomas Edwards; sister, Kristin Edwards; Michelle’s parents: Richard (Natalie) Hartstein and Margie (Keith) Carlson; and his cat, Raymond.
Jason was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Chelsea Edwards.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
