Mr. Hammonds was born in Robeson County on Feb. 29, 1980.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hartman (DDC) Hammonds, Jr and Ora Lee Hammonds, and a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Byrd.
He is survived by two sisters, Denise Hammonds Byrd and Felicia Carol Hammonds, three nephews, Jeffrey Mark Byrd, Jr, Jonathan Byrd and Corey Byrd, one great nephew, Kendell Hartman Byrd, and a host of family and friends.
