Jason William Hargett
July 21, 1974 – September 2, 2025
Jason William Hargett passed away on September 2, 2025, in Salem, Utah at the age of 51. He was born on July 21, 1974, in Atwater, California to parents Jerry and Janet Hargett.
Jason spent most of his life working in the restaurant industry and co-owned Ruby River Steakhouse with his brother, Brandon. He had a love for sports, especially golf, where he formed many lasting relationships and lifelong friendships. He loved people and made new friends wherever he went, making everyone laugh and feel special. Jason cherished spending time with his children and being a father. Jason’s kindness, optimism for life, and humor were unmatched, and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Jason is survived by his mother, Janet Worth Hargett, and his brothers, Brandon and Troy Hargett. He was the proud and devoted father of Kolby, Kenzee, Gabe, and Brock (with their mother, Amyee Hargett), as well as London and Ledger (with their mother, Natalie Hargett). He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Oakley, Augustus, and Eleanor Hargett. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Hargett and grandmother Helen Stirland.
Please join us in celebrating Jason’s life on Saturday, September 13th at the Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home located at 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah. A memorial service will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a visitation for friends and family held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
