Jason Jodon, 51, of Apollo, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Jason was born on March 3, 1974, in Spangler, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Edward and Barbarann (Kriss) Jodon.
Jason was a lifelong learner. He graduated with honors from Cambria Heights High School in 1992 and was a member of the ROTC program. He went on to pursue a degree in Computer Management at ICM School of Business. Upon graduation, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent 17 years working as a Technical Analyst for State Industrial Products. While working in Cleveland, he enrolled at Chancellor University and continued his education in Management Information Systems and Services.
In addition to his professional career, Jason enjoyed working security at concert venues, where he had the opportunity to meet and care for many music artists. He also served as an EMT and was an active member of the Walking Club in Cleveland.
In January 2011, Jason fulfilled his desire to return to the Pittsburgh area. After relocating, he joined the Club Prophet Systems team, where he served as Director of Customer Satisfaction. A little over a year ago, Jason began working for the Gunton Corporation as a Project Manager, a role he held for thirteen months prior to his cancer diagnosis.
In September 2010, with a simple "hello," Jason met the love of his life, Bridgette. They were married on Saturday, March 17, 2012, on a perfect 80-degree day, surrounded by family and friends. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith and service to others.
Answering God's call, Jason and Bridgette became foster parents and, on June 29, 2013, welcomed two precious girls into their home. After 648 days in care-and confirming what had already taken root in their hearts-they were blessed to officially make them Jodons forever.
From the moment the girls came home, they were safe, deeply loved, and cherished. Jason was an extraordinary "girl dad" to his daughters and to his sweet Yorkie, Reese. He loved, protected, provided for, and prayed over them every day.
While fostering, God renewed Jason's call to ministry. He enrolled in the Pennsylvania Delaware School of Ministry, completed four years of study, and became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. During this time, Jason and Bridgette faithfully served as Children's Pastors, Family Life Pastors, and Associate Pastors. In 2021, Jason became the Lead Pastor of Grace Assembly of God. His heart's desire was to share the love of God with everyone he encountered, and he carried a deep passion for his congregation and community.
Jason enjoyed many hobbies, including reading, learning new things, music, playing the guitar, and exploring new technology-especially his 3D printer. He also loved spending time on his HAM radio and cheering on the Steelers. Most of all, Jason cherished watching Adalynn perform in marching band throughout high school and college and attending Aubrey's competitive baton twirling performances. He was an incredibly proud dad, always guiding his girls with grace and truth.
In addition to his parents, Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Jodon Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bridgette (DePew) Jodon; his daughters, Adalynn Jodon and Aubrey Jodon; his sisters, Tracy (Bob) Rolfe and Mary (Ray) Gypp; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Billy DePew, Libby Jodon, Ella DePew, Daton DePew, Alexander Gypp, Deklan DePew, and Bryson DePew.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Assembly of God, 601 First Street,
Apollo, PA 15613. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a luncheon immediately following. The burial will be private at Deer Creek Cemetery. Pastor Nick Poole will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.,
Apollo, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jason's memory to Grace Assembly of God, where he lovingly served as Lead Pastor.
