Jason J. Kalinowski, age 49, a resident of Naperville, IL since 2022, formerly of Palatine, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 10, 2025. He was born on June 10, 1976, in Park Ridge, IL.
Beloved husband of Beth M. Kalinowski, whom he married on November 19, 2022, loving father of Ellie Louise Kalinowski, devoted son of Jessie (nee Hill) and the late John Kalinowski, dear brother of John (Omar Ramirez) Kalinowski of Chicago and Josh (Val) Kalinowski of Buffalo Grove, IL, uncle of Harrison, Hunter, Nathan, and Alexander, son-in-law of Barbara Glosa of Naperville, brother-in-law of James (Laura) Wawrzaszek of Naperville, former spouse of April Gricus, stepfather of Andrew Graham, fond nephew, cousin, and friend of many. Jason was also the devoted Dog Dad of Summer, Stella Blue, and Jodi.
Jason grew up in Palatine, was a 1994 graduate of Palatine High School and attended Harper College in Palatine. He was employed in sales in the construction industry for many years, where he was often told how trustworthy and honest he was by his clients. He also worked at Durty Nellie's in Palatine in his youth as a doorman and bartender, which he very much enjoyed.
Jason loved live music, especially the Grateful Dead. He could hear a recording of a live Dead song on the radio and tell you what year it was from based purely on how it sounded. He also enjoyed working out at Orange Theory, listening to Howard Stern on the radio, and playing games with his daughter. When he was younger, he spent many years skateboarding with his friends and fishing with his dad and brothers.
Jason was deeply devoted to his wife, Beth, and treasured the travels and memories they made together. He marveled at the endless joy his daughter, Ellie, brought - always ready to sweep her up in his arms or chase her about the room to make her giggle. With them, Jason felt every day was a gift.
A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, TBD at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL.
Interment will be private.
