Jason P. Kapfer, died Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was the cherished son of his parents, Philip and Patricia Kapfer; brother to Jeffrey (Dr. David Sewall) Kapfer and Jonathon (Lauren) Kapfer; and uncle to Kathryn and Connor Kapfer. Jason was also a nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Jason graduated from Holt High School in Wentzville, Missouri and Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. He worked at various restaurants as a chef and kitchen manager. Jason also worked in the meat department at Schnucks Super Market in Lake St. Louis. Whether he was experimenting with new recipes or perfecting family favorites, the kitchen is where Jason found joy and expressed his creativity, often cooking for family and friends.
Jason enjoyed playing and watching sports, going to the farm, hunting and fishing with family and friends, shooting fireworks and playing paintball. Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jason gave in death as he gave in life, through the selfless act of organ and tissue donation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mid America Transplant or Missouri Department of Conservation.
