POSEYVILLE, INDIANA
Jason Michael Knowles, 36, of Benton, Illinois, formerly of Poseyville and Mt. Vernon, Indiana, born April 17, 1989, to Michael James and Patricia Diane (Glover) Knowles in Evansville, Indiana, passed away, Sunday, April 20, 2025 near Wadesville, Indiana.
He graduated from North Posey High School in 2007. He was Franklin County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Director in Benton, Illinois and formerly worked for Deaconess Heart Hospital as a Patient Care Associate, J&S Communications, Evansville-Vanderburgh Central Dispatch as a 911 Dispatcher from 2017 - 2019 and was a Director at Posey County 911 Dispatch from 2019 - 2022. He started his lifelong service to the public and community with the Poseyville Fire Department Cadet program and became a firefighter with Black Township Fire & Rescue from 2014 - 2022. He was a Ham Radio Operator and a talented musician and attended Ewing First Baptist Church where he played the organ and piano. Jason held a deep respect and connection with the men and women of numerous 911 Dispatch Departments, Fire Departments, EMS, EMA, and Ambulance Services throughout the Tri-State area. Known for his calm voice in times of crisis and a heart full of compassion, Jason was truly a man of service and self-sacrifice. His legacy of love, strength, and dedication will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
Surviving are his loving wife: Jenna Lynn (Martin) Knowles; mother: Patricia (Glover) Knowles; mother-in-law: Robin Foster (Brent); cherished step-daughters: Waylynn Belle Webb and Preslee Wayde Webb; beloved sisters: Tricia Knowles and Angela Seaton (Chad) and their children Brady & Myah Seaton; uncle: Dennis Knowles along with several cousins, nephews and nieces. His circle of love extended far and wide, including dear friends, extended family and colleagues.
Preceding him in death was his father; paternal grandparents: Jimmy and Lucille Knowles and his maternal grandparents: Noel and Wanda Glover.
Funeral services will be held after an Emergency Services walk thru at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial to follow in Antioch Cemetery near Owensville, Indiana.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: National Alliance on Mental Illness, PO Box 49104, Baltimore, MD 21297.

I will always remember taking Jason and Flint to the Ham Radio
meetings in Mt Carmel at the Hog Heaven Restaurant. Jason was such a fun kid and a joy to be with.
