KATHY D. AXTON POSEYVILLE, INDIANA Kathy Dean "Redfield" Axton, 69, passed Friday, July 25, 2025 at George C. Forsythe Hospice in Auburndale, Florida surrounded by love and family. Kathy was born June 29, 1956 on an Army base in Augsburg, Germany to the late Leland Arthur Redfield and Tina (Brown) (Redfield) Reddick. Kathy is survived by her loving spouse of 39 years: Jimmie Lee Axton; daughter: Heather (James) Martin; grandchildren: Katelyn (Reece) McGuire, Noah (Elizabeth) McCutcheon, and Logan Martin. dad: Gerald Reddick; mom: Nancy Redfield, siblings: Steve (Bec) Redfield, David (Kim Reddick), Gail (Charles) Redfield, Nadine (Kevan) Fralick, Karen Lawson and Kevin Redfield along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who affectionately called her "Aunt Kat". She was preceded in death by both her biological parents; her in-laws: Aaron Lee and Amanda Axton and a sister: Lisa (Rick) Chartier. Kathy was loved by many. She was always willing to lend a hand or an ear. She was a second mom to a lot of Heather's friends, "Nana" to her grandchildren's friends and "Aunt Kat" to many. She loved to craft and was very talented with the ability to bring any vision to life. One of her favorite pastimes that she learned from her father was making stained glass art with her brother Steve. She loved auctions, flea markets and yard sales and was always on the lookout for a deal. She loved to travel and was always excited to explore new places with her family and friends. Kathy will be missed by all those whose lives she touched with her love and compassion. The family would like to thank the staff at George C. Forsythe Hospice House for their compassion and care during Kathy's last days. A memorial service to honor Kathy will be held 1 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at Werry Funeral Home, 16 E Fletchall Avenue, Poseyville, Indiana. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time, Friday, August 8, 2025 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: George C.
