Jason Scott Kunkelman, 48, of Adrian, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.
Jason was born July 20, 1976 in Kansas City Missouri and was the eldest of 2 children that Larry Kunkelman and Bonnie (Scott) Kunkelman raised. He grew up and attended Adrian High School and graduated in 1994. He worked several jobs over the years: mobile home salesman, Chrysler credit agent, Sioux Chief warehouse worker and nursing aide at various nursing facilities in the area. Jason had three children: Tyler, Joshua, and Marley who he loved and he worked at being a good father. Anyone who met Jason immediately knew he was a huge Superman fan.
Jason is preceded in death by his father, Larry Kunkelman, and step-brother, Keith Kunkelman. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Kunkelman; sons, Tyler Kunkelman and Joshua Kunkelman; daughter, Marley Kunkelman; step-brothers, Floyd Kunkelman and Kevin Kunkelman; step-sister, Lynn Elsloo; and sister, Amy Kunkelman; as well as, several nephews and nieces.
No public service will be held. A private family ceremony to spread his ashes at the family home will be held later this summer.
