Russell Lee Scott, age 79 of Drexel, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. He was born May 25, 1945 to Barney E. and Hattie Ingram Scott.
Russell married Rita Kay on August 30, 1964 and to this union, twin boys were born--Trent and Brent. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adrian, Missouri. Russell graduated from Adrian High School in 1963.
After high school Russell worked for Gas Services as a welder--then moved on to his dream job and managed the Irvin Ranch outside of Drexel, Missouri for over 40 years. He took great pleasure in this career, and it was extra special with his twin sons helping out on the weekends and summers. Besides ranching, Russell also loved attending sporting events for his sons and grandson.
Russell is survived by his son, Brent and wife Kari Scott; one grandson, Drew and wife Makyna Scott; one great-granddaughter, Breelyn Shay Scott; one brother, Jim Scott and wife Trish; niece, Rebekah; and family and friends. Russell was preceded in death in by his son, Trent Scott; parents, Barney and Hattie Scott; and a great-granddaughter, Halston Raya Scott.
