Wanda Jean McCue, 100, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Prairie Grove Health and Rehabilitation in Prairie Grove. Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO.

Wanda was born January 24, 1925, near Harrisonville, MO, the daughter of Gene and Katherine (Heitz) George. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1942 and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. On June 22, 1946, she married Forrest Shelton McCue in Kansas City, MO. They resided in Kansas City before moving to Norwalk, California, in 1960. They retired in Harrisonville in 1980. Wanda moved to Arkansas in 2000. Wanda became a member of the United Methodist Church in East Lynne, MO in 1942. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Norwalk, CA, and Bayard Chapter #174 of the Order of Eastern Star in Harrisonville, MO. Her proudest achievement in life was raising her four sons and watching them go out into the world.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest, in 1995; and one great-grandson, Colton Moll. She is survived by her four sons: Walter and his wife, Melinda, of Johnson City, TN; Larry and his wife, Joyce, of Windsor, CO; Michael and his wife, Renee, of West Fork, AR; and Steven and his wife, Diane, of Lake Havasu City, AZ; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
