Jason Edward Lanham

Mr. Jason Edward Lanham, age 42, of Deputy, Indiana entered this life on December 29, 1980 in Cincinnati, Ohio at Good Samaritan Hospital. Jason was the youngest son of Billy Wayne, Sr. and Martha Louise Henson Lanham. He was raised on Scott's Ridge in Jefferson County and was a 1999 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. Jason was blessed with a daughter, Paytton Renee whom he adored on February 13, 2008. He had worked early in life as a traveling electrician with his brother, Bill. He then worked at Arvin Sango for 15 years working his way up to foreman. He worked five years at Super ATV as a welder and fabricator and for the past eight years with Bulk Truck and Transport in Hanover as a welder. Jason enjoyed his nine year relationship with Alicia Lee Short Cyrus and thought of her sons as his own. Jason loved to farm and enjoyed living in the country. He liked fishing, playing pool, shooting guns, and spending time with family. Jason died on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 8:38 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky after suffering a brain aneurysm. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute
A LOVING FAMILY
Jason will be missed by his loving wife and companion of nine years, Alicia Lee Short Cyrus of Deputy, Indiana; his parents, Billy Wayne Sr. and Martha Louise Henson Lanham of Lexington, Indiana; his daughter, Paytton Renee Lanham of Madison, Indiana; his step sons, Skylar Matthew Mack, Trenton Michael Mack, and Landon Todd Mack all of Deputy, Indiana; his brothers, Robert England and his wife, Kelly of Madison, Indiana, Bill Lanham and his wife, Bobbi of North Vernon, Indiana; his sister, Valena Lanham Allen of Louisville, Kentucky; his brother in law, Gary Lee Short, Jr. and his wife, Morganne of Deputy, Indiana; his aunt, Nancy Jacobs and her husband, Larry of Cincinnati, Ohio; his special cousin who was like a brother, Jessie Thomas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father in law and mother in law, Gary Lee Short, Sr., died February 16, 2019 and Janet Lee Anderson Short, died May 9, 2011, his uncle, Jim Short, died August 1, 2018.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Michael Cammack at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
