Jason Ryan "Lud" Ludolph, age 48, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 23, 2025, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lud was born on May 12, 1977, in Shawano, the son of Gerald and Mary (Wendorff) Ludolph. His recent goal was to be able to celebrate his 48th birthday at a large gathering with family and many good friends, which he was able to achieve.

He attended Shawano schools and graduated from Shawano High School with the Class of 1995. Lud was a member of the IBEW 2150 electrical union, working on various jobs throughout the state of Wisconsin and at times in Minnesota and Iowa. He was a race car fan and always looked forward to deer hunting, but more than anything, he just enjoyed hanging out with his many good friends. He was always available when anyone needed a helping hand.

Lud is survived by his parents, Jerry and Mary Ludolph; brother, Jeff (Mary Jane) Ludolph; and special niece, Clara Ludolph of Warroad, Minnesota. He is further survived by many extended family members and very special friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Lud was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Lulu Ludolph; and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Dorothy Wendorff.

In keeping with the family's wishes a private burial for Jason Ludolph will be held at St. Jakobi Cemetery in the Town of Richmond. A celebration of life for Lud is pending and will be announced at a later date.

"The family would especially like to thank Pastor Kleinschmidt for his visits and help in preparing Jason and his family for his final journey; the entire ThedaCare Hospice Team, with a special thank you to Sabrina, Jolene, Ben, Jeanne, Heather, and Nadyne; the Shawano ThedaCare Oncology Team; and the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Oncology physicians and nursing staff for their great care of Lud. Their dedication and compassion is so greatly appreciated."

Dear Lord, we entrust our dear Jason into Your loving arms. May Christ Jesus welcome him into the promise of heaven, where there is no more pain, only the love of God.
