Vida Mary Ludolph, 87, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024. Vida was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother.
Vida was born on December 20, 1936, in Keystone, Oklahoma, to Armond and Mabel (Almy) Sissom, the oldest of five children. Vida has always lived in the Cleveland and Terlton area, having graduated from Cleveland in 1954. Vida is a retired dispatcher for the Mannford Police Department and served as a Captain for the Pawnee County Reserve Officers and a reserve officer in Creek County.
Following retirement, Vida enjoyed life with her husband, Henry Ludolph, as a transport driver delivering RV trailers across the country. Gardening, square dancing, sewing, leather crafting, wood working and creating decorative plaques were also things she enjoyed doing. In addition to those things, Vida also spent many hours fishing, camping, cooking, baking, and canning. Vida loved leading praise and worship in church spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Vida has been a member of the Keystone and Westport Baptist Churches and was a founding member of Oak Hill Church in Terlton.
Vida is preceded in death by her parents, Armond and Mabel Sissom; first husband, James Merriman; brothers Walter Sissom, Herbert Sissom, Earnest Sissom, and Phillip Sissom; daughter Brenda Potter; and one great-grandson, Jason White.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Conrad Ludolph III; five sons, Ron Merriman and wife Pat, Brad Ludolph, and wife Michelle; Kenneth Ludolph and wife Teresa, Henry Ludolph IV, Scott Ludolph; two daughters, Joan Johnson, Mary Sims, and husband Larry; eighteen grandchildren twenty-six great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Early officiating. The visitation will be Sunday December 22nd from 1 pm till 6 pm with funeral services Monday December 23rd at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the Sinnett Cemetery.
