Jason 'Jay' Todd McNickle, age 60, of
New Castle, PA, passed away the early morning of Dec. 23, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Born Oct. 19, 1965, in
New Castle, PA, he was the son of Thomas and Jani McNickle and Kathleen and Brian Solomon. They survive.
On Sept. 19, 1992, he married his wife of thirty-three years, Stacey (Hepler) McNickle. She survives at home.
Jay was a graduate of Neshannock High School's Class of 1984. He then went on to earn his degree from Youngstown State University, laying the foundation for a life built on hard work and perseverance. He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Jay built a successful career in sales at Xaloy in Austintown, Ohio. Outside of work, he found joy in life's simple and creative pleasures. Jay loved painting and music, appreciated the beauty and mechanics of cars, and took pride in his yard work. He will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and love for his family.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jay is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rachel & Sam Richter of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Matt (Lindsey) McNickle of Indiana, PA, and Tim (Sarah) McNickle of
Youngstown, OH; one sister, Jennifer (Kirk) Hunt of Volant, PA; two stepsisters, Kari (Bill) Adams of Zelienople, PA, and Autumn (Brad) Miller of Volant, PA; several beloved nieces and nephews and one great-niece.
He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Todd McNickle.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 6:00 PM with Pastor Scott Frederick of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Jay will be laid to rest alongside his son, Adam, at Oak Park Cemetery.
