Jason Robert Poole, born on April 22, 1976, in Baltimore, MD, passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 48. Jason is survived by his friend and mother of his children, Rebecca Poole; his children, Ava, Lucas, and Aspen Poole; his mother, Margaret (Annie) Poole; father, Chris Poole; and siblings, Rachel, Jason Michael, and Eric Poole, as well as his beloved rescue dog, Calvin.
At the time of his passing, Jason worked as a Workforce Development Specialist at the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY). In this role, he found joy in supporting and empowering individuals in their career paths, helping them learn to advocate for themselves and find their way. Although he held many jobs throughout his life, his unwavering commitment to his work and family was deeply appreciated by those who knew him.
An enthusiast of all things creative, Jason found joy in the precise and detailed painting of models and figurines for Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer. He was a true hobbyist who took great pride in maintaining his eight aquariums, showcasing them with attentive care and dedication to anyone he could. A passionate pet owner, he adored his rescue dog, Calvin, and spent countless hours with him; going for rides in his Jeep, strolling the Onondaga Lake shore, and feeding him bacon from Dunkin' Donuts (even when he knew he shouldn't).
Visitation will be held at DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, LLC, on March 22, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that guests bring a pet supply item, such as food, towels, or blankets, to be donated to the Onondaga County Humane Society in honor of Jason's legacy and his deep love for animals. Jason will be lovingly remembered for his generosity, creativity, and the warmth he shared with his family and friends.
