Jason Andrew Redman, 54, of Glenrock, Wyoming, passed in his home on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
Born on Sunday, June 27, 1971 in Torrington, Wyoming, he grew up in Casper, Wyoming. His love of the outdoors began as a child- with many memories of time spent on his grandparent's ranch with his sisters, fishing with his grandpa and uncles, or biking to the ball field or swimming pool. He could rarely be found indoors until after sun set.
As a teenager, Jason found his love for turning wrenches and going fast LOUDLY. You could hear his red Chevy Nova coming from blocks away. In the fall of 1988, he met the love of his life, Renee Poole, in Mr. Stedillie's speech class. One afternoon he wrapped his jacket around her shoulders and their love story began. He graduated from Kelly Walsh High School before proudly joining the United States Navy in 1990. His service initially took him to California, both North Island and VP9 Moffett Field. In 1992, Jason and Renee were married but military life got the better of their young marriage and they were divorced in 1994. Jason continued his naval career stationed in Roda, Spain. During his years of service there were many deployments allowing him to travel all over the world before returning to California to VX9 Point Mugu in 1996. Very soon after his return, Jason and Renee reunited and after he was honorably discharged in 1998, they returned to Wyoming.
They made their home in Glenrock in 1999, raising two children, Chloe Marin and Jacob William. He shared his wisdom freely, serving as a mentor and father figure to his nieces, nephews and family friends. His devotion reached beyond his home touching lives across his community in ways that will always be remembered. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 20 years before transitioning into the oilfield industry, where he held positions with Halliburton, Oxy, NOV, and most recently, Brake Supply. During all of this he built many strong relationships. If you weren't a friend- it's because he hadn't met you yet. Jason was known for his big heart, unwavering smile, and his ability to make everyone feel like a friend.
He found joy and peace in the outdoors- saying he knew Wyoming like the back of his hand. There were many treasured spots where he loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, or simply Jeepin' on (or off) a back road. Jason also brewed beer and was a "foodie" and an excellent cook. He often shared his creations with those he loved and would always say something about it was not quite right- but he loved the "Yum...that's good!" that would inevitably follow.
Jason is survived by his wife, Renee; children, Chloe and Jacob; father, Wayne Redman; mother, Linda Miller; sisters, Toni Redman (Willis Brown) of California, Dawn (Mark) Coy of
Douglas, Wyoming, Rhonda Redman (Jim Renville) of Casper, and Michele (Jason) Huber of Casper; brother, Brian Poole of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and many extended family members.
A service will be held at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Evansville, Wyoming, on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M.
