Jason Robert Scheller, 43, of Evansville, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Jason was born on January 5, 1982, in Evansville to Terri Ann (Weinzapfel) Scheller and the late Kenneth Scheller. Jason was so many things. He lived with his foot on the gas. He was a fearless thrill seeker and an adventurer. Jason was a licensed sky diver; he loved riding dirt bikes; cliff jumps and even sliding down waterfalls. Jason was a gifted salesman, a master in the garden, but above all he was a loving father. Jason loved his two daughters with every ounce of his being.
Surviving Jason are two daughters, Ella Marie Scheller and Nikki Ann Scheller; his mother, Terri Scheller; siblings, Nathan (Andrea) Scheller, Karen (Mark) Shields, Katie (Nate) McGaughey, Kendra (Ryan) Hatfield and Dustin (Christy Schile) Scheller; his maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Weinzapfel, eight nieces, six nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
In addition to his father, Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Weinzapfel and by paternal grandparents, Joseph and Geneva Scheller.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Christopher Droste officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N. Wabash Ave.
The family would like to thank Lori, Mary, Angie and Ro at River Walk Adult Daycare; Heart to Heart Hospice and Jim and Ortensia at Senior Helpers for all their great care for Jason.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church or to Cure MAPT FTD at curemaptftd.org.
