He attended Frederick schools and graduated from Frederick High School with the Class of 1977. Randy was an outstanding football player for the Bombers and was provided the opportunity to continue football at the collegiate level. He opted to stay in Frederick and help his father farm. Randy and his father did custom wheat harvesting for many years. He enjoyed farming but also spent time on the road, truck driving for VASTCO, the family trucking company. Randy was a public servant and a friend to public servants, always helping first responders or assisting anyone he could, wherever he could. He was a Civil Air Patrol Member and a storm chaser for Tillman County Emergency Management. Randy was a very caring and giving person.
Randy had a passion for youth and sports. He coached his girls' little league ball teams. He was a staple in the Frederick Quarterback Club and served on the "Chain Gang" at Bomber football games. He was active in all things Bomber. When he moved to Elgin to be near family, he embraced youth athletics there and supported the "Owls." Randy was a very loving father and grandfather. His daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were his world. He loved his family very much.
