Ann (Nash) Johns, 83, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Ann was born on December 29, 1941, in Evansville to the late William W. and Lucile J. (Fieber) Nash. Ann was a longtime member of St. Philip Catholic Church and an supporter of Mater Dei High School. She worked as a registered nurse at Deaconess Hospital. Surviving Ann are a daughter, Julie Ann Schapker; son and daughter in law, Brian David and Patricia Johns; a brother, James William (Donna) Nash; and two grandchildren, Eric William Johns and Mallory Schapker. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, David Henry Johns in January of 2025. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 22, 2025, at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Nick Biever officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Philip Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday at St. Philip Catholic Church, 3500 St. Philip Road, S. Mt. Vernon, IN 47620. Ann's family extends a special thank you to the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice for all of their kind and compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church or to Mater Dei Friends and Alumni Association, 1300 Harmony Way, Evansville, IN 47720.
