Jason Wiske Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brenner Mortuary Funeral & Cremation Services on Nov. 5, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Jason Paul Wiske, 55, of Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away on November 3, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg.
Jason was, first and foremost, a loving husband and father. His greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Tiffany; his son, Logan; and his daughters, Madeline and Autumn. Jason was immensely proud of his children and shared in every accomplishment with enthusiasm and love.
But family, to Jason, extended beyond blood. Together, he and Tiffany opened their hearts and home to numerous foster children, including Sara "Katie" Bazurto, Laura Carell, Sara Clemens, Heather Sorden and Destiny Allen-each of whom lovingly called him "Dad," and now their children adore him as "Grandpa". His compassion and generosity left an enduring mark on every life he touched.
Jason was born on May 16, 1970, in Wichita, Kansas, to LaVern and Neva L. (John) Wiske, both of whom have passed. He is also survived by his brother, James Wiske of Overland Park; two sisters, Susan Wiske of Prairie Village and Marylee Young (Glen) of Augusta; his parents in law Roger and Terri Wood of Pittsburg; sisters in law Regina (Isaac) Winemiller and Rachel (Adam) Valencia of Pittsburg: as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Clearwater High School, Jason went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University before obtaining both his law degree and a master's in accounting from the University of Kansas. He later returned to Pittsburg and opened his own law practice, where he served clients across Kansas with tireless dedication. Jason was known for his integrity, determination, and willingness to help anyone in need-whether offering legal counsel, a ride, or simply a listening ear. Outside of work, Jason had a wide range of interests. He was an avid reader, actor, golfer, and poker player. His skills at the poker table earned him a seat at the World Series of Poker-and the affectionate nickname "The Donkey" for his unpredictable style of play.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Countryside Christian Church, with Pastor Jim Frech officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. A visitation will take place on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg. Memorial donations may be made to "Wiske kids Education Fund" and left at Community National Bank in Pittsburg. Arrangements are under the care of Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, Kansas.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Jason´s untimely passing. He was a friend and a great lawyer. He will be missed by those who knew him and practiced law with him. RIP Jason. C. Y. Meek
