Javier Villalpando Torres, known to many as Javi JT, passed away on July 14, 2024, in
San Antonio, Texas at the age of 47. Born on February 14, 1976, in San Juan, Puerto
Rico, Javier touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Javier leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, survived by his two sons Zackary
Javier Torres, Dylan Javier Torres, his one and only grandson Zackary Javier Torres Jr
his devoted mother, Guillermina Torres, his father Angel Torres Senior, and his brothers
Angel Torres Jr and Leslie Torres.
He is also remembered by 6 nieces, 7 nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, x- wife of 13
years Melanie Torres who remained family after divorcing, and friends, all of whom he
held dear. While we mourn his loss, we find solace in knowing he has been reunited with
loved ones who preceded him in death.
From his days at Highlands High School to his career as a skilled professional 18-
wheeler truck driver, Javier's pursuits were guided by his passion for the outdoors and
his dedication to his family. He had a special talent for bringing laughter and joy
wherever he went and could turn anyone's frown upside down with his infectious smile.
Javier's contributions to the community were marked by his unwavering generosity and
kindness. His heart of gold and willingness to help those in need made a lasting impact
on the lives of many. His deep faith and knowledge of scripture were pillars of strength
for him, and his devotion to God was unwavering.
A man of many talents, Javier was known for his ability to maneuver an 18-wheeler on
any tight turn or backing it up into a tight space. He can repair anything and everything,
from household repairs, electrical to cars, all while sharing his skills with his two sons,
creating lasting memories with them. Javier was a trendsetter & his signature, never left
home without his cap His relationship with his daughter-in-law Naomi was filled with
warmth and mutual silliness, adding richness to his family connections.
Javier's journey was marked by challenges, but now we find comfort in knowing that he
rests in peace, surrounded by the love of the Good Lord. His legacy of love, kindness,
and resilience will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
p.s.
In the words of Javier himself, "Keep on trucking, Javier, from an anonymous source
said; until we meet again at the gates of Heaven "GOD" ! His passing leaves a void in the
hearts of those who loved him, but his memory will live on in the laughter, love, and
special moments he shared with us all. Rest in peace, Javier, knowing that you are
cherished, loved, and remembered for the good man that you were.
