In Loving Memory of

Kenneth Higgins

August 6, 1948 – September 2, 2025

Kenneth Higgins, 77, of Texas, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born on August 6, 1948, Kenneth lived a life marked by service, love, and quiet passions that touched many.

A proud United States Air Force veteran, Kenneth served honorably during the Vietnam War. A memorial service will be held on September 18, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military honors, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate his life.

Kenneth was a devoted husband to Vicki Higgins, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage, building a life full of love, laughter, and commitment. He was a loving father to his daughter, Erin Higgins and her husband James Smith, and sons, Kevin Higgins, and Terry Higgins and his wife Julie Higgins. His legacy also lives on through his cherished granddaughters, Haylee Higgins and Marissa Higgins, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Professionally, Kenneth worked for Paige Avjet for 17 years, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Kenneth had a deep affection for animals, especially cats, and was well-known in the cat show community. Over the years, he proudly exhibited Persian and Himalayan cats, earning numerous awards. His passion for these elegant companions was matched only by his fascination with trains-a hobby that brought him hours of joy.

Kenneth loved to talk - to everyone and anywhere. His friendly nature and warm conversation made him a familiar and welcome presence to many. Whether camping with his family or chatting with a stranger, he had a way of making people feel seen and heard.

A man of strong faith, Kenneth was a devoted Christian and a long-time member of McQueeny Baptist Church, where he found community and spiritual fellowship.

Kenneth's life was one of loyalty, kindness, and heartfelt connection. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Yesterday

Dear Vicki and kids,
Our hearts go out to you all in this difficult time. We´ve known and been friends with you all for nearly 50 years. During this time, we have visited each other´s homes for bible studies and meals, many times. We´ve laughed and cried together and seen so many changes in our lives and families. We will always cherish these memories and will always remember Kenny as a kind, gentle and loving friend and brother in Christ. We love you all and will all see Kenny again soon and very soon.
Blessings,
Dr Artie and Nancy Lucas
