Javier Zavala, 82, of Alvin, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 3, 1942, in Boling, Texas, the son of Juan and Margarita Zavala. Javier was raised in Alvin, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep devotion to his family. He dedicated many years of service as a foreman with Hawkins Lease Co., where he was respected for his commitment and leadership.

A devoted Christian, Javier was known for his generosity, guidance, and unwavering faith. He touched the lives of many through his kindness, sharp sense of humor, and natural ability to connect with others. He found joy in attending church, sharing the word of God, and spending time with those he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Zavala.

Javier is survived by his daughters, Debra Malagarie and Teresa Ayers and husband Randy; his son, Anthony Zavala and wife Gina; his sister, Tomasita; five grandchildren, Erica, Tisha, Cameron, Kayla, and Corey; eleven great-grandchildren, Addison, Elise, Stella, Ellana, Enzley, Enzo, Maverick, Odin, London, Jedi, and Korinne; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas with services beginning at 3:00 PM.
