Jay Douglas Hancock, 56 of New Athens, IL, born June 28, 1968 in St Louis, MO, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday December 19, 2024. He was a driver for Weir Auto Parts.
He was preceded in death by his father – Leroy Hancock who passed away on August 19, 2024.
Jay is survived by his mother – Marilyn (Brown) Hancock, his loving wife – Candace (Peludat) Hancock, daughter – Samantha Hancock and granddaughter – Keona Hancock, all of New Athens, IL and 3 brothers – Jeff (Robin) Hancock, Mark ( Debbie) Hancock and John (Rhonda) Hancock, all of Sparta, IL.
A private memorial service will be held among family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church in Freeburg, IL.
Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
