Jayce Alexander Haverkos, 19, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, along side his girlfriend of 2 years, Madison Lynn Grotschel. He was born on October 2, 2003, in Forsyth County, to Shannon Michael and Jeffrey Haverkos.
Jayce was employed at UNIFI and planned to attend college. He enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, riding four-wheelers, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends in the basement (If you know Jayce - you know). Most of all, he loved his family and his dog, Rip.
Jayce is survived by his mother, Shannon Michael (Cory); his father, Jeffrey Haverkos; a sister, Summer Williams (Jacob); a niece, Salem Williams; a nephew-to-be, Hudson Jayce Williams; maternal grandparents, Fred Cooke and Donna Cooke (Jeff); paternal grandparents, Robert Haverkos (Robin) and Dolly Grlicky; an aunt, Tracy Estep; two uncles, Shawn Cooke (Heather) and Scott Spann; his cousins, Megan Wiles, Ryan Waycaster (Cameron), Kelsei Cooke, Cameron Cooke, Jacob, Bubba, Jayden, Soloman, Brylee, Midori, Olive, Patrick, Ryker, and Luka; step-grandparents, Lee Michael (Angel) and Lisa Phelps (Jeff); a special great-aunt, Sue-Sue; his best friend, Grayson Webb; and many more loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his cousin, Kristin Mendez; his great-grandmother, Carrie Mae Cooke; and his great-grandfather, Samuel Morton Cooke.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at REVO Church, South Fork Campus, 3830 Wayne Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The family will receive friends following the service.
