Jaycee Amick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dunmire-Kerr and Rowe Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 15, 2025.
Jaycee Renee Amick 17, of North Vandergrift passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, in her home after a
courageous and long fought battle with ATRT cancer.
Born July 25, 2008 in Lisbon, Ohio, Though her time here was far too short, the love, light,
and joy she brought into the world will live on forever.
Jaycee had a spirit that was impossible to ignore. She was genuinely happy,
radiating warmth, kindness, and joy in everything she did. Even on her hardest days,
her smile never left her face. It was a smile that could soften the heaviest moments
and remind everyone around her of what truly mattered. Her laugh,
contagious and full of life, could light up any room. Jaycee loved people instantly and
wholeheartedly, welcoming everyone as if they had always belonged.
Jaycee had a deep love for the things that made her, her. She delighted in good food
especially frog legs, and her favorite restaurants, where her taste buds were always
dancing. She loved iced coffee and cherished the simple joy of laughing, talking, and
just being present with the people she loved. Jaycee also loved participating in
fashion shows, expressing her vibrant spirit through her own perfectly unique sense
of style.
Family meant everything to Jaycee. She loved her mom and dad Marci and David McAllister Amick deeply and was
happiest when surrounded by them. She shared a special bond with her brother,
Harrison, whom she loved fiercely and proudly. Their connection was filled with
love, laughter, and unwavering support, and it was a relationship she treasured
deeply. Jaycee also held a deep love for her MawMaw, Donna J. McAllister, Uncle David and Aunt Debbie, her
cousin Zachary( Zachariah), and adored all of her extended cousins, family and
friends, cherishing every moment spent together. Her family was her safe place, her
greatest source of joy, and what mattered most to her in this world.
She proudly embraced the title of "Aunt Jaycee" to Gates, even dubbing herself the
self-proclaimed "#5 aunt," a title she wore with pride and joy. She loved him with
her whole heart.
Jaycee loved school. As a student in the Kiski Area School District, she loved music,
dance, and being part of Unified Track. She was also proud to be involved in Girl
Scouts, building confidence, friendships, and a love for giving back, and was an honorary member of the Parks Township Volunteer Firehall as Junior Chief
and the Pennsylvania State Police, reflecting her strength, bravery, and lasting
impact on her community.
Jaycee faced her illness with remarkable strength, courage, and grace. She fought
hard for years, never losing her warmth, her kindness, or her ability to love others.
Though her body grew tired, her spirit remained bright, brave, and full of love. Jaycee was preceded in death by her pappy, Harry Lee McAllister who we believe joyfully welcomed her
into heaven with open arms for a beautiful reunion.
Jaycee's light will continue to live on in every act of kindness, every shared laugh, and every butterfly that reminds us of her beautiful spirit.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 1-3 pm and 6-9 pm in the DUNMIRE-KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 244 Franklin Avenue, Vandergrift. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 am in the North Apollo Church of God, 507 20th street, North Apollo, Pa 15673 with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.
